Dose the Crazy Iphone Lady have a Point?

Well... no. The computer is not taking over our brains. But maybe we are being seduced, but is it a bad thing? We live in a world where the vast majority of us are indeed addicted to technology. What would you do without your Ipod, I don't know what I would do. But back to the topic. I'm gonna look into the accusations Ms. Crazy IPhone Lady makes, and see if their true.

First off. Cell Phone Kills Brian Cells (nurons) - TRUE
Well not compleatly. A group of Sweedish Scientists Discovered that Cell Phone Radiation did harm brain cells in rats, but these results were not found in humans. But it is possible with high power cell phones to do some damage to your brains. But not enough to cause serious health problems. But this is what they found in Rats. The protective barrier around rats brains started to leak causing blood protines that are normally kept away from the brain to enter and come in contact with nurons.

Cell Phone Causes Alsheimers- FALSE
See Above

Second, Computer takes over mind - FALSE
I searched google and no evidence that a computer can't take over your mind. But I did find evidence that you can control a computer with your mind. So she got that a little ass backwards.

Cell Phone Power Measured in Pixels - FALSE
Thats a camera. everybody knows that.

Computers want to take over the human brain - FALSE
duh lady, thats the ailiens

The TV makes your brain Stupid - TRUE
But it's not because of the TV. It's the TV Shows. It's not called a boob tube for nothing.

There is a Master Brain Controlling all brains - FALSE
NO FREAKEN WAY! If there was a master brain wouldn't we all be and think exactly the same. If their was a master brain that controled all brains war would be a thing of the past. No Conflick, No Indiviguality.

That one dude in the crowd is from another planet - TRUE (not really)
I mean come on, when you were talking about the Iphone hurting you, but people from other planets. If you want to save your brain, DON'T smoke another one.

The MacBook was made by Aliens - FALSE
If they did, They did a good job...

The CD-ROM is Shutting down - TRUE
About Every 15 years electronics change media. So the Compact Disk is indeed on it's way out. Being replaced by blueray or HD DVD. But it's not being delibratly shut down. Just something better came.

They Chant CD-ROM in temples - FALSE
Maybe they used to. But that wasn't a temple. That was Macworld 1992

She's the scum of the earth - FALSE
CRAZY and SCUM are different.

The Government wants to take her out - N/A
This is not covered to the freedom of information act.

Now I'm gonna give the lady some credit. At least she belives something, and is doing something with her life. You never know, she might be right. And she'll be standing on planet lexon chanting "I TOLD YOU SO." But untill then. I'm gonna be seduced by my sexy Ipod Touch and read another DIGG story on my laptop.

mp3 players of the past

firstplayer2.jpg With the iphone and ipod touch SDK coming out next month, I thought we should look into the past of mp3 and media players. It wasn't that long ago that if you wanted to listen to your favorite snoop song you'd have to throw in a CD. Now we can take all are song with us wherever we go. We can clip 'em to our belt and go running. We can hold all are favorite tv shows and movies in our hand. We can even "buy on the fly" and not have to wait to hear the latest single. (Seen above is the first ever mp3 player, the Saehan's MPMan next to the first ipod.)
It has been less than a decade since the first mobile media devise was mass produced. But compared to today, these are dinosaures. With more storage than you know what to do with you can easily take your entire music library and more in your pocket. The closest thing to compare with the ipod today (storage wise) back then was the hango/remote solutions personal jukebox pjb-100.

It held a unprecidented 6GB of music, while other players of the time held a small 32MB. The down side was it was very heavy and felt like a brick. You couldn't walk around the mall listining to your favorite tunes with this bad boy clipped to your belt unless if you wanted your pants to fall down. But the personal jukebox era was short lived when something bigger (and by bigger I mean smaller) and better would come out.

That's when the First Ipod Came out. Combining storage with ultra portability (by yesterday's standards.) Soon apple would have the portable media market in a choke hold. And it's one that not many want to get out of. The first ipod could hold 1000 songs in your pocket. On a relatively simple and sleek devise. Never before possible. They would continuously up the ante with ipod mini, Ipod video, Ipod nano, Iphone, and Ipod touch. And this is just the beginning.
